1. Who We Are
Geompact ("we", "us", or "our"), operated by Vadim Bezrukov, a sole proprietor based in Serbia, operates the Geompact platform at geompact.com (the "Service"). For questions about this policy, contact us at hey@geompact.com.
2. Information We Collect
Account data: name, email address, and password when you register. Payment data: payments are processed by Paddle.com, which acts as Merchant of Record for all transactions. Paddle collects and processes your billing information under their own privacy policy (paddle.com/legal/privacy-policy). We receive only your billing address and last-four card digits. We never store full card numbers. Usage data: models uploaded (metadata only: file name, size, polygon count, format), analysis reports generated, feature interactions, and IP address. Uploaded models: your 3D files are processed for analysis and optionally stored in your library. Your files are not used by Geompact to train AI models. When we use third-party AI services (see our Subprocessors list), data is processed under their API terms, which prohibit training on customer data.
3. How We Use Your Information
To provide and improve the Service; to process transactions and send receipts; to send technical notices, security alerts, and support messages; to communicate about product updates (you can opt out at any time); and to comply with legal obligations. We do not sell your personal information.
4. Legal Basis (GDPR)
If you are in the European Economic Area (EEA), we process your data under the following lawful bases: performance of a contract (providing the Service you signed up for); legitimate interests (improving the Service, fraud prevention); and consent (marketing communications). You may withdraw consent at any time.
5. Data Retention
Account data is retained for as long as your account is active. Uploaded 3D models are stored for the period you keep them in your library; deletion is immediate upon your request. Analysis reports are retained for up to 12 months or until the associated asset is deleted, whichever comes first. Reports are anonymized after asset deletion. Billing records are retained for 7 years as required by law.
6. Data Sharing
We share data only with service providers necessary to operate the Service. See our Subprocessors list for details. We do not sell data to third parties. We may disclose information if required by applicable law or to protect our rights.
7. Data Security
All data in transit is encrypted via TLS 1.3. Data at rest is encrypted using AES-256. We store uploaded models in isolated, access-controlled cloud storage. Access to production data is restricted to authorized personnel only.
8. Your Rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time via your account settings or by emailing hey@geompact.com. EEA users also have the right to data portability and the right to object to processing. We will respond within 30 days.
9. Cookies
We use strictly necessary cookies for authentication and session management. For analytics, we use Plausible Analytics, which does not use cookies, does not track users across sites, and does not collect personal data. We believe this does not require a consent banner under current EU guidelines.
10. International Transfers
Your data is stored and processed in the European Union and the United States. Where required, transfers outside the EEA are protected by appropriate safeguards (Standard Contractual Clauses or adequacy decisions).
11. Children
The Service is not directed to anyone under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or through the Service at least 14 days before the change takes effect. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
